3 Screen Recorder For YouTube Videos

There are too many screen recording software in the market and plenty of recommendations.

I can write an article with 15 screen recording software for YouTube but that will again keep you confused in picking one software.

So, in this article, I am going to write about three screen recording software that I personally use for recording YouTube videos.

Let’s get started.

List of Screen recorders for YouTube videos For windows and Mac users

OBS Studio

OBS Studio is an open-source software used by many YouTubers for recording and live streaming their videos on YouTube.

Also, many gamers use this software to live stream their games on Twitch.

I had tried OBS studio to record my YouTube videos, and I never had any issues or complaints.

The only catch is that there is a learning curve to use this software.

Recently, I switched to another screen recorder due to its simplicity and flexibility.

What else to know about it

OBS Studio is available in both Windows and Mac OS.

Each option to add multiple sources and screens and switch between them while recording your screen.

The output of the video quality is excellent, and you also have the flexibility to control the video output quality.

There are a lot of plugins that you can use to customize the software and add more features to it.

The only downside is the user interface, and a non-techie person may feel it’s too complicated.

Movavi

Movavi is a great screen recorder that you can use for recording YouTube videos.

Using Movavi screen recorder, you can record specific areas in your using a selection tool.

This is an amazing feature and not available in most of the screen recorders.

In addition to that, you can also have highlights for your mouse pointer that will be a great addition when you are recording tutorial videos.

If you are not tech-savvy, then I would recommend this software.

It is a very simple and easy to use screen recorder which can be pinned to the side of your laptop or PC and start recording anytime with a click of a button.

Leaving all this apart, the best feature is the ability to control the audio quality.

I am having a dynamic microphone but after using the mono audio settings, I never needed a microphone.

Considering these features and ease of use, I highly recommend you to try the free version of the Movavi Screen recorder and you will definitely fall in love with it.

Also, if you have not invested in a video editor or you are using a video editing software that is not intuitive, I recommend you check out the Movavi Video Suite 2020 which comes with a video recorder, converter, and photo editor.

What else to know about it

You can also download the Movavi Screen recorder to your desktop and use it to record any part of your screen.

You can use it to record Horizontal videos, social media videos, and any other size that you want.

You will not find some features like Camtasia but it’s 10 times lesser than that. (Pricing Info)

Overall, I will recommend this software if you want to make YouTube or Udemy videos or any other professional videos.

Screencast-O-Matic

I recorded my first video using Screencast-O-Matic. It is super simple to use.

All you have to do is download a .exe file, launch the software, and start recording videos.

It is best for small presentations that are less than ten minutes of length, but if you are planning to use it long term, then you will have to switch to their paid version.

What else to know about it

The options are limited in the free version. You can only make videos for less than 15 minutes.

You cannot remove the watermark in the free version.

I would recommend using this software only for a while. Once you get some momentum, you should either switch to their paid version or learn open-source software like OBS Studio.

Conclusion

My overall recommendation is to use the Movavi screen recorder over any other screen recorder unless you are planning to do live streaming.

For live streaming, OBS is the best bet.
